WW Weigh-In 3/16

It’s been a couple of weeks since I posted, but I was parked at the computer for 8+ hours a day with school and working all of last week — I didn’t even hit the gym and it kinda made me grumpy. Oh well, this week has been much better — just part of the life of a freelancer, I suppose.

So, I decided to change my Weigh-In days from Saturday mornings to Friday for two reasons, and this week it really paid off. I don’t like eating heavy or salty food the day before weigh-in, and when the hubby works it’s easy to eat a salad, fruit, grilled chicken and veggies — but when he’s off, I tend to want to dine out or make something special at home. Now that he has off on Friday and Saturday, it was really making it hard.

I would track all week, drink all my water, exercise — everything!! Then, come Friday night and we were out, and dining out was often an options or we’d want to do something quick and easy at home for movie night — in other words, foods that would affect my weigh-in the following morning. Every week I’d work really hard only to see my weight stay the same or go up on the scale. Now granted some of those times were because I did bad the entire week, but since January I have been renewed and dedicated to the plan, so I know the 1 -1.5 gains were the (fill in the blank) dinners from the night before. That’s not to say my dinners out were even a point-busting mess, because I tracked them and they fit in with my daily allowance. Eating dinner and weighing in 12 hours later was my problem.

The second reason I moved from Saturday to Friday was my leader, with whom I have been with since Feb. 2011, decided to take a break from meetings and since she wasn’t there anymore, nothing was tying me down to Saturdays.

This week was my first week weighing in on Friday, and I dropped 2.8 pounds. I tracked very carefully, since I knew I didn’t have time to get a workout in. It paid off, so I am hoping the change will help me start dropping weight more efficiently.
